Ahmed Adan Jama is a researcher with experience spanning field-based data collection, monitoring and evaluation, and mixed-methods research across Somaliland. He has worked with international NGOs including Save the Children International in monitoring and evaluation, and with local NGOs such as RAAGSAN Strategic Consulting & Analytical Services as a qualitative researcher on UN-assigned projects covering urban resilience and humanitarian drought response evaluation in Somalia. He also served as a lecturer at the University of Burao, teaching Critical Thinking in Research to medical students, before joining Center for Development Research (ZEF). Ahmed holds a Master of Research from the University of Burao and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Edna Adan University. Current PhD research project at ZEF: Protected Areas for Sustainable Nutrition Research in Somaliland (PASTURES).
